On December 11, 2014, the inaugural conference of the "Jiangsu Province Enterprise R&D Institution Promotion Association" was held at the New Century Hotel in Nanjing. The Jiangsu Province Enterprise R&D Institution Promotion Association is a non-governmental social organization — a registered and legally independent social organization with 68 member enterprises, R&D institutions, and university and research institutions. Liu Jiaping, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Jiangsu Institute of Building Science Co., Ltd., serves as President; Xia Taishou, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Scientific and Technical Information, serves as Secretary-General; and Kailong Hi-Tech was selected as a member of the inaugural Board of Directors. At the conference, Jiang Yuejian, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, attended to congratulate the association's establishment and delivered a speech on the theme of promoting innovation.

The purpose of the association is to raise the level and quality of enterprise R&D institutions throughout the province, fully leveraging the "bridge" and "bond" roles of non-governmental organizations — building a platform for enterprise R&D institutions to exchange with each other, mutually promote each other, and achieve self-improvement; stimulating enterprise R&D enthusiasm; elevating enterprise R&D standards; and providing strong support for enhancing enterprises' independent innovation capabilities. The association provides enterprises, R&D institutions, universities, and research institutions with a platform for technical exchange and learning, mutual assistance, and shared development.
