To further strengthen employees' fitness awareness, enrich employees' leisure and cultural life, and allow employees to relieve stress during intense work periods, on September 29, the table tennis and billiards competition jointly organized by the Kailong Hi-Tech Union, General Manager's Office, and Human Resources Department was held at Kailong's community center.
In this competition, table tennis used a best-of-three format to 11 points, and billiards used the international standard Black Eight best-of-three format. All participating players drew lots upon arrival to randomly determine their opponents and compete in a one-on-one elimination format until first, second, and third place were determined. Among the competing players, there were a considerable number of experienced veterans and highly skilled experts — not only were their playing styles diverse and their footwork precise, but their attacks were also swift and opportunistic. Table tennis players alternated between forehand topspin loops, backhand blocks, and powerful smashes at key moments, putting considerable pressure on their opponents. Billiards players crouched slightly, keeping their foreheads low, steadied themselves, aimed, pushed the cue, and sent the ball into the pocket in one fluid motion… Players alternated between fierce face-offs and composed defensive play, creating one exciting highlight after another. Spectators at the scene periodically burst into applause and cheers, as the competition reached one climax after another.
After the fierce competition, Cao Xingyu won the table tennis championship, Qiu Guanquan finished second, and Huang Jianguo and Li Ping tied for third; Zhang Zanqun won the billiards championship, Shan Jiaotong finished second, and Li Shengxiang and Li Xiujia tied for third.
