On July 26-27, NPC Standing Committee Vice Chairman, China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA) Central Committee Chairman, and China Association for Promoting Peaceful Reunification of China Vice Chairman Chen Changzhi and his delegation visited Wuxi for research on CDNCA grassroots organization development and other work. During his stay in Wuxi, Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Wuxi Municipal Party Committee Secretary Li Xiaomin met with the research delegation. Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC Vice Chairman and CDNCA Jiangsu Provincial Committee Chairman Hong Huimin, and municipal leaders Wang Quan, Yao Jianhua, Chen Derong, Wang Huanchun, Wu Fengfeng, and Hua Boya respectively accompanied or attended the related symposiums.
At the symposium, Chen Changzhi listened to briefings on the CDNCA Wuxi Municipal Committee's work, and 4 CDNCA members engaged in exchange speeches combining their professional work. Chen Changzhi fully affirmed the achievements of the CDNCA Wuxi Municipal Committee in grassroots organization development, participating in and deliberating on state affairs, and social service work. He stated that Wuxi was the earliest city in Jiangsu Province to establish a CDNCA organization. Under the leadership of the CDNCA Central Committee, CDNCA Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, the Wuxi CDNCA has gradually grown and developed, with more than 1,600 members. He pointed out that to sustain achievements, ideological development must be placed first — CDNCA members should study and implement the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping to guide party affairs work and social work practice, carefully study the constitution and history of the association, continue to carry forward excellent traditions, and strengthen political party and political consciousness; expand CDNCA organizational development, broaden sectoral domains, and attract outstanding individuals to join; participate in and deliberate on state affairs centered on Party committee and government core work, discover and research problems based on local conditions, leverage their own advantages, play the role of talent, and improve the effectiveness of participation; gradually form self-branded social service work, mobilize more entrepreneurs and loving members to assist underprivileged areas, and create greater social influence. Before the symposium, Chen Changzhi and his delegation visited CDNCA Wuxi Municipal Committee staff members.
During the research visit, Chen Changzhi and his delegation visited Huishan District's Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. — a private enterprise founded by CDNCA members that has become an industry "leader" by relying on high-tech products such as diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment systems and diesel engine particulate capture systems. The enterprise has led the formulation of 18 industry standards, obtained 118 patents approved by the State Intellectual Property Office, and sold more than 100,000 diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment systems last year — achievements that were fully recognized by Chen Changzhi's delegation. Chen Changzhi urged the enterprise to continue increasing R&D investment in advanced technology, further expand the technological content and brand influence of its own products; more precisely develop markets, use advanced concepts to enhance enterprise service capabilities, maintain and expand market share; continuously strengthen internal management, work hard to improve enterprise management levels, and reduce operating costs.
