On June 9, 2017, one official from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, 8 expert reviewers, Zhenjiang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau Director Lai Zhongmin, Achievements Division Head Xu Guanglu, Zhenjiang New District Science and Technology Information Bureau Deputy Director Wang Youping, Zhenjiang New District Management Committee Deputy Director Yang Julan, and other leaders arrived at Kailong Lanfeng Company to participate in the Jiangsu Province Achievement Transformation Fund Project Expert Review Conference. Kailong Hi-Tech Chairman Zang Zhicheng, Kailong Lanfeng General Manager Zhang Zhigang, Deputy General Managers Zhu Zengzan and Rong Yuxin, Chief Engineer Sun Min, as well as doctoral experts from the supporting institution East China University of Science and Technology — including Dr. Guo Yun (Director of the Industrial Catalysis Research Institute), Dr. Guo Yanglong (Deputy Dean of the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering), and Dr. Zhan Wangcheng (Party Secretary of the Industrial Catalysis Research Institute) — warmly received the visiting experts and leaders.
This meeting focused primarily on the project "Key Technology R&D and Industrialization of Diesel Vehicle Exhaust Purification Catalysts Meeting China VI Emission Standards." The project focuses on developing a low light-off temperature and high-stability DOC; a novel molecular sieve SCR catalyst with low light-off temperature and a wide operating window; a high capture efficiency, low backpressure, and low light-off temperature CDPF; as well as a low heat capacity, large-sized thin-wall carrier and high capture efficiency, low backpressure DPF. The project effectively circumvents foreign companies' patent restrictions on molecular sieve SCR catalysts and NGK/Corning's blockade on carrier technology, ultimately forming diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment catalyst technology with independent intellectual property rights, comprehensively enhancing the company's overall strength, and providing qualified products for the smooth implementation of China VI emission standards. Upon project completion, annual NOx emissions will be reduced by 518,400 tons, annual PM emissions will be reduced by 13,000 tons, 40 new employment positions will be created, promoting the development of the aftertreatment industry, effectively enhancing the industry's international competitiveness, and generating considerable economic benefits.
After hearing the presentations and conducting on-site inspections, the expert reviewers gave Lanfeng Company a high evaluation, while also raising two questions. Lanfeng Company's relevant personnel provided answers to these two questions, reaffirming during the Q&A that this project — while meeting China VI emission standards — will play a substantial role in environmental protection.
