On April 26, 2019, Kailong Hi-Tech's complete independently developed China VIb aftertreatment system — matched with Dongfeng Chaoyang Chaochai Power Co., Ltd.'s 4SK, 4BK, and NV30 engine models — successfully passed environmental announcement certification. This marks China's first complete aftertreatment system with fully independent intellectual property rights. All core components of the system — including the control unit, urea injection system, oxidation catalyst (DOC), catalytic particulate filter (CDPF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, ammonia slip catalyst (ASC), straight-through thin-wall honeycomb ceramic carrier, and wall-flow honeycomb ceramic carrier — were independently designed and developed by Kailong Hi-Tech. On May 15, Dongfeng Chaoyang Chaochai Power Co., Ltd.'s three engine models completed the heavy-duty diesel engine environmental information disclosure.

Kailong Hi-Tech launched R&D on the China VI aftertreatment system and core components back in 2015. This system represents an entirely new platform, achieving continuous technological innovation and advancement. Over the years, Kailong Hi-Tech has successively developed model-based, closed-loop, and precise OBD-based controller components; high-precision and high-reliability urea injection components; and various high-performance catalyst and carrier components. The aftertreatment system adopts an integrated design that facilitates production and service, while also reducing system backpressure and improving overall performance. This milestone achievement demonstrates Kailong Hi-Tech's unwavering commitment to independent innovation and positions the company at the forefront of China's emission control technology development.
