To actively promote the healthy development of mobile source low-carbon energy-saving and pollution emission collaborative control technologies under the dual-carbon background, advance industry technological progress and industrial development, and accumulate valuable experience and provide clear direction for the industry, the National Engineering Laboratory for Mobile Source Pollution Emission Control Technology and Kailong Hi-Tech held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony on May 17, 2023. The ceremony was presided over by Li Zhenguo, Executive Deputy Director of the Laboratory. Laboratory Director Fang Maodong delivered a sincere speech.
Chairman Zang Zhicheng stated that the mobile source laboratory, as a national-level R&D platform, is a benchmark in the industry and a model for us to learn from. Since its founding, Kailong Hi-Tech has always placed great importance on R&D investment and technological innovation, maintaining long-term R&D commitments over the years, with R&D expenditure exceeding 15% of core business revenue in the past year. Looking ahead, we will continue to drive hard on technological innovation to generate new development momentum.
The meeting also invited industry experts to engage in in-depth discussions and exchange on topics including collaborative development of China Stage VII heavy-duty vehicle emission control technologies, development of electronic control technologies for urea pumps and urea nozzles, validation and application of silicon carbide (SiC) substrate technologies, and key fuel cell technologies.
Both parties summarized the meeting outcomes and will conduct deep cooperation in multiple areas for the next phase, including near-zero emission control technologies for motor vehicle exhaust pollutants, China Stage VII standard pre-research, key technology R&D and application matching for in-use vehicle pollution control, and key component testing and certification.
After the meeting, Executive Deputy Director Li Zhenguo led Kailong Hi-Tech representatives on a tour of the mobile source laboratory, introducing its mobile source exhaust emission and evaporative emission control technologies.
The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement, based on the principle of “complementary strengths, pragmatic results, mutual improvement, and win-win outcomes,” establishes a long-term strategic partnership. Going forward, both parties will fully leverage their respective resources and industry advantages to jointly advance research on next-phase motor vehicle exhaust pollutant emission control technologies, striving to reach internationally advanced levels. Kailong Hi-Tech will also deeply implement the development philosophy of “innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and sharing,” and through strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration, breaking through key core technologies, and continuously innovating products and services, drive the company’s ongoing transformation toward intelligence, high-end capabilities, and green development, and forge a path of high-quality enterprise development.
