From June 26 to 27, 2023, the joint session of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) Vehicle Engine Branch and Aftertreatment System Branch was successfully held at the Wuxi Wanda YiHua Hotel. The event was jointly organized by the two branches and hosted by Kailong Hi-Tech, the chairman unit of the Aftertreatment System Branch. More than 60 representatives attended, including senior officials from CAAM, experts from vehicle manufacturers, automotive parts enterprises, and universities.

The session opened with welcoming remarks by Li Shaohua, Deputy Secretary-General of CAAM. This was followed by speeches from Zhong Yuwei, Chairman of the CAAM Vehicle Engine Branch, and Ye Jun, Vice President and Executive Deputy General Manager of Kailong Hi-Tech, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry and Secretary-General of the CAAM Aftertreatment System Branch. The session was moderated by Zhou Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the CAAM Aftertreatment System Branch.

The session invited several experts and scholars to deliver keynote presentations on six major topics: “Corporate Response Strategies Under the Dual-Carbon Strategy,” “Current Status and Future Development Trends of the Passenger Vehicle Market,” “2023 Market Development Outlook for Commercial Vehicles,” “Development Trends and Cost Strategies of Aftertreatment System Technologies,” “Development Trends of Automotive Energy and Powertrain Technologies Under Carbon Neutrality Goals,” and “Research Status and Development of Hydrogen Fuel Engines.” The vibrant atmosphere generated lively exchanges and widespread acclaim from attendees.

After the discussions, attendees visited Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. Dr. Zhu Lei guided them through the company’s automated packaging line, GBD production line, and various advanced testing equipment at the R&D center, giving participants a close-up look at the company’s innovative achievements in the field of exhaust aftertreatment.

Through this joint session, attendees engaged in in-depth exchanges on key issues and future trends in vehicle engines and aftertreatment systems, and jointly explored the importance of low-carbon transition and its impact on the automotive industry. The session provided valuable experience-sharing and industry insights, charted a course for innovation and development in China’s automotive industry, and gave enterprises deep food for thought and guidance to address the challenges of the times and market competition, advance the construction of a low-carbon transportation system, and achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

As the chairman unit of the CAAM Aftertreatment System Branch, Kailong Hi-Tech will resolutely fulfill its corporate social responsibility and continue to advance the frontier of internal combustion engine aftertreatment technology in China, contributing to the realization of China’s “dual carbon” goals.
