— Kailong Hi-Tech and Denmark's LiqTech Sign Water Pollution Treatment Strategic Agreement

On the morning of November 1, 2016, on the eve of the 8th Wuxi International Friendship City Exchange, a government and entrepreneur delegation of 18 people from Wuxi's friendship city — Denmark's Bjerringbro Municipal Community — visited Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. for an inspection and exchange visit. Huishan District Governor Cao Wenbin was invited to attend. Accompanied by Chairman Zang Zhicheng, the friendship city delegation toured the independently developed products exhibition hall and production assembly workshop. Impressed by Kailong's powerful technology R&D strength, clean and orderly working environment, high-quality talent pool, and scientific 6S management system, the delegation expressed sincere admiration for Kailong Hi-Tech's elite status in the aftertreatment industry, and indicated their desire to join hands with Kailong to further develop the water pollution treatment field and jointly provide technological support for the ecological civilization development of Wuxi.

At the exchange session, Chairman Zang Zhicheng extended the warmest welcome to the Danish delegation on behalf of Kailong Hi-Tech, and expressed hope that through cooperation with LiqTech, the friendship between the cities of Wuxi and Bjerringbro would be deepened. He noted that Denmark's LiqTech is a globally renowned multinational enterprise with unparalleled advantages in silicon carbide carrier R&D and water treatment. Kailong, as an enterprise focused on environmental protection, has always cherished the beautiful vision of "making lake water clearer and the sky bluer" — deeply committed to reducing the pollution load on Taihu Lake and rebuilding the ecological homeland. The powerful alliance of these two enterprises will certainly propel Taihu Lake governance to new heights. Governor Cao Wenbin noted that Huishan District, as a traditional manufacturing hub of Wuxi, is at a critical juncture of transitioning toward high-tech industries, and Kailong Hi-Tech bears the responsibility of gathering high-end talent and leading the development of emerging industries. The Huishan District government will spare no effort in strengthening support for environmental projects, encouraging Kailong Hi-Tech to go global, and engage in deep mutually beneficial cooperation with LiqTech, building a platform for establishing a sustainable urban and industrial ecosystem.

Bjerringbro Mayor Jesper Wurtzen reviewed the nearly decade-long cooperation history between Bjerringbro and Wuxi in fields including trade, investment attraction, education, biomedicine, and environmental protection. He emphasized that the diesel engine emission technology meeting China VI standards — jointly developed by LiqTech and Kailong Hi-Tech — adds powerful new leverage to the cooperation between the two cities and enterprises. LiqTech Chairman Aldo Petersen stated that creating a harmonious and green homeland is the shared pursuit of LiqTech and Kailong, and that the signing of the water pollution treatment cooperation agreement will be a milestone for environmental protection in Wuxi and across China.

That afternoon, senior leaders from Kailong Hi-Tech and Denmark's LiqTech delivered a key briefing at Lakeside Hotel on the technical cooperation pilot projects being conducted in vehicle exhaust and water treatment fields. Wuxi Taihu Lake Office Director Qi Wenyi, Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau Deputy Director He Yongjun, and other municipal government officials attended the briefing and expressed strong support for the cooperation.
