Details

In accordance with the company's modern strategy and deployment for improving product quality and user experience, the Technology Research Institute conducted market research on the light truck sector in 2020, focusing on how to meet the winter testing requirements for China VI and non-road China IV standards. A winter testing team was assembled and corresponding preparations were made, including reviewing product requirements from each institute within the Technology Research Institute, finalizing test specifications, and preparing components and spare parts.

Compared to previous winter tests, Kailong Hi-Tech invested greater human and material resources this time around. Testing was conducted in regions including Mohe, Heihe, Hailar, and Huma, with products installed on SANY, Foton, and Dongfeng complete vehicles for China VI road standards, as well as Luoyang Tractor (LuoTuo) and Yangdong engines for non-road China IV standards.

On December 16, 2020, Kailong Hi-Tech's winter testing team — led by a core group of calibration engineers from the Calibration Research Institute — officially set out on their approximately three-month-long winter testing mission. Over the past month and more, they conducted tests including urea thawing function testing, crystallization verification under various operating conditions, OBD testing, and temperature model validation. Upon identifying issues, they immediately communicated with each project team, while company headquarters assisted with problem analysis and software data optimization.

This winter test conducted end-to-end tracking and monitoring of various urea pump systems, DPF systems, and quality sensor systems accompanying each system, collecting first-hand data. The purpose was to verify the safety and reliability of various company products in the most extreme environment of minus 40 degrees Celsius, striving to deliver a superior product experience to customers in extreme cold regions. Our calibration engineers braved the harshest conditions with dedication and professionalism — embodying the spirit that a sword is sharpened through grinding, and plum blossoms bloom through the bitterest cold.
