On July 28, 2021, the unveiling ceremony for the Kailong Hi-Tech – Shandong University Green Low-Carbon Energy Utilization Technology Joint R&D Center was successfully held at Kailong Hi-Tech. The ceremony was attended by Dai Zheng, Deputy Governor of Huishan District, Wuxi; Zhu Jianming, President of the Wuxi Automotive Industry Association; Qian Pingjiang, Deputy Director of Qianqiao Sub-district, Huishan District, Wuxi; Jing Haiming, Director of the Shandong University Office for Serving Shandong; and Zang Zhicheng, Chairman of Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., along with other leaders.

At 9:00 AM, the unveiling ceremony began on schedule. Zang Zhicheng, Chairman of Kailong Hi-Tech, and Jing Haiming, Director of the Shandong University Office for Serving Shandong, both delivered speeches expressing their shared hopes for the school-enterprise cooperation.

Chairman Zang stated that Shandong University is a world-class institution that has made outstanding contributions to technical development and low-carbon innovation in the engine industry over the years. At a time when China is positioning low-carbon emission reduction as an important direction for economic transformation and actively advancing the "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" strategic goals, Kailong Hi-Tech is actively responding to the national call by co-building the "Green Low-Carbon Energy Utilization Technology Joint R&D Center" with Shandong University to jointly carry out research and development in green and low-carbon technology, ultra-low emissions, and new energy power — an initiative of great forward-looking and strategic significance.

Director Jing noted that Kailong Hi-Tech, as a leading enterprise in the aftertreatment industry, places great importance on talent development and technological innovation and is actively advancing school-enterprise cooperation. The co-establishment of this joint R&D center represents a new starting point of combined strengths and mutual benefit for both parties.

At the ceremony, both parties also held a project signing ceremony for a key research program on "dual urea injection systems for aftertreatment meeting China VII emission standards," signaling the launch of collaborative R&D that will push the boundaries of emission reduction technology.
