From July 10 to 12, the Internal Combustion Power Carbon Neutrality and Emission Control Academic Annual Conference was held in Changsha. The conference was organized by the China Internal Combustion Engine Society (CICES) and co-organized by the Aftertreatment Technology Branch, the High-Power Diesel Engine Branch, the Small and Medium Power Diesel Engine Branch, and the Hybrid Power Technology Branch of CICES. Huang Zhen, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chair Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, served as Conference Chair. Vice Chairs included Wang Feng, Chief Engineer of the 711 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation; Long Wuqiang, Professor at Dalian University of Technology; Huang Chenghai, Director of Wuxi Fuel Injection Equipment Research Institute of China FAW Co., Ltd.; and Zang Zhicheng, Chairman of Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.

The conference featured one main venue and five sub-venues. The High-Power Diesel Engine Branch hosted the Fourth Sub-venue — the Green Ship Power Systems Session — themed "Green Ship Power." Combining online and offline formats, industry experts and scholars gathered to explore emission reduction pathways for ship power systems suited to China's national conditions and aligned with international development trends.

Starting from the broader context of carbon reduction, the session invited 15 industry experts and scholars from 9 institutions, including China Classification Society Wuhan Rules Research Institute, CSSC Power Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zibo Diesel Engine Co., Ltd., Harbin Engineering University, ABB Turbocharging Chongqing Jiangjin Co., Ltd., Wärtsilä China Co., Ltd., Dalian University of Technology, and Shaanxi Diesel Engine China Co., Ltd. They engaged in extensive exchange and discussion on the development of green, low-carbon, and eco-friendly power technologies, focusing on independent innovation and advancement in green ship power technology.

Representatives engaged in lively discussions, actively sharing technical achievements and inspiring new ideas in a spirited atmosphere.

The successful conclusion of this event will promote the green development of China's ship power sector and contribute to the achievement of China's "dual carbon" goals!
