On October 14, 2021, the inaugural meeting of the China Automobile Industry Association (CAIA) Aftertreatment Systems Branch was grandly held in Chongqing. Attendees included Luo Junmin, Deputy Secretary-General of CAIA; Li Shaohua, Deputy Secretary-General of CAIA; Li Guixin, Assistant Secretary-General; Zang Zhicheng, Chairman of Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.; Zhu Jianming, President of Wuxi Automotive Industry Association; and other leaders. The meeting also invited over 130 representatives from major domestic OEMs, engine manufacturers, and aftertreatment companies such as Weichai Power and SAIC Commercial Vehicle, as well as renowned universities and research institutions including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and China Automotive Research Institute, who together witnessed this important moment in the founding of the Aftertreatment Systems Branch.

The congress elected the leadership of the inaugural Council. Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. was elected as the President Unit, with Zang Zhicheng serving as President. The Secretariat is located at Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.

The Aftertreatment Systems Branch established an expert committee and appointed Huang Zhen — Standing Member of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice Chairman of the China Democratic League Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Dean of the Carbon Neutrality Development Research Institute and School of Smart Energy Innovation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering — as Chair of the Expert Committee, and Zhu Jianming, President of Wuxi Automotive Industry Association, as Advisor. The Branch also appointed Lin He, Director and Professor of the New Energy Power Research Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Ge Yunshan, Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology; Wang Junfang, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Motor Vehicle Emission Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment; Wang Jiaming, General Manager of Wuxi Weifu Environmental Catalysts Co., Ltd.; and Liu Dewen, Deputy General Manager and Dean of the Technology Research Institute at Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., as expert committee members.
