In accordance with the China Machinery Industry Federation's standardization work arrangements related to "carbon peak and carbon neutrality," the pre-review meeting for the Internal Combustion Engine Sector "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Standards Key Research Projects" was successfully held in Wuxi, Jiangsu on October 12, 2021. Over 40 representatives, including technical personnel from "dual-carbon" special standard application units and review experts, attended the meeting. The event was organized by the National Technical Committee for Internal Combustion Engine Standardization and co-organized by Kailong Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.

The meeting was chaired by Xing Min, Secretary-General of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association and Deputy Director of the National Technical Committee for Internal Combustion Engine Standardization. Mr. Xing introduced the background and objectives of the meeting, and expressed appreciation to all review experts and representatives of standard-applying organizations for their support of the "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Standards Key Research Projects."

Liu Dewen, Deputy General Manager and Dean of the Technology Research Institute of Kailong Hi-Tech — the host organization — delivered a welcome address. He extended a warm welcome and sincere thanks to all guests, noting that "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" represents a strategic national decision, serving as a powerful lever to drive industrial structure optimization, advance energy structure adjustment, promote the R&D of green and low-carbon technologies, and improve the green and low-carbon policy system — carrying important guiding significance for the healthy and green development of the automotive industry.

At the review meeting, technical personnel from the applying organizations carefully listened to the reading of the Notes on Pre-Review of Standard Research Project Applications by Secretary-General Ji Weibin. The review panel experts thoroughly assessed the 23 applications across five groups, providing constructive feedback and guidance for each project.
